The untoward decision by the Saudi authorities to refuse the landing of the Algerian planes carrying pilgrims at the airports of Djeddah and Medina ( Saudi Arabia) has upset the Algerian officials.

In a declaration to “Echourok” the Algerian flight company’s general manager Wahid Bouaabdellah has indicated that the decision was “sudden and unexpected” , since he Marketing Assistant manager three days ago and was given the go ahead to host the Algerian pilgrims.

Using a threatening tone, the Algerian Flight Company’s general manager has declared that the Algerian authorities have decided that the Algerian pilgrims will either travel all or stay in Algeria, adding that the Algerian transportation minister Amar Tou has sent a formal correspondence to his Saudi opposite number asking for clarifications on the matter.

Wahid Bouabdellah has indicated that the Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia is personally supervising the matter. The first wave of pilgrims is set to fly on November 2.
